Laser cut anything imaginable including restaurant menus, indoor signs, wedding favours, Christmas tree decorations and much more.
How is laser cutting done?
Laser cutting works by directing the output of a high-power laser most commonly through optics. The focused laser beam is directed at the material, which then either melts, burns, vaporizes away, or is blown away by a jet of gas, leaving an edge with a high-quality surface finish.
What type of wood is used for laser cutting?
Laser engravers work by burning into the wood as the link notes, you’ll want a wood with a high resin content so that the laser has something to “color”. A soft wood such as Cedar, Pine or Spruce would be a good choice also as their softer and can be burned easily.
